Designer Kim Michie brings a new, fresh and fashionable approach to the old way of carrying your yoga or pilates mat to class. Kim's yoga bags are an attainable luxury which reflect an artistic sensibility. Kim's design inspiration comes from a lifetime of travel to India, Paris, London, China, Portugal and Italy and is reflected in each one of her yoga bags. 

The use of luxurious textures, exotic prints and vintage inspired tapestries reflect Kim's eye for artistic details. All of Kim Michie bags are Limited Editions.  

Kim Michie Artist/Designer was born in Miami, Florida. Kim had a passion for art and textiles at a very young age and started sewing at the age of 10. After high school Kim moved to Pennsylvania to pursue a career in design. Kim received a Degree in Fashion and Textile Design from Philadelphia University. Kim has been working in the Fashion Industry for the last 20 years. She has worked for some of America's greatest designers including Ralph Lauren, Lilly Pullitzer & Adrienne Vittadini.   

A keen eye for artistic details is a natural for Kim who has had the opportunity to travel around the world. Her design references come from   inspiring locations such as India, Portugal, Italy, Paris and China. Kim's yoga bags are a result of a unique design style that comes from  a combination of many international influences. 

Kim and her husband, who is also in the fashion industry, are the very proud parents of two sons, David and Cameron. They reside in the state of Pennsylvania.

Kim Michie began yoga in 2006 and while visiting the yoga studio noticed that most people were either carrying their mats in their arms or using a flimsy tote that you have to shove your mat into at the top. Kim wanted a more fashionable bag that was also easier to use. 

With a flair for beautiful fabrics and knowledge of design & manufacturing, Kim began her own line of Kim Michie Yoga Bags. These are much easier to load & go! They are now being sold in some of the top yoga studios in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
