![]() Tree Pose is called Vrksasana in Sanskrit. Vrksa is tree. This pose appears to be easy but can be quite challenging as it requires standing on one leg for about 30 seconds. Sounds simple enough? Lets give it a try … Instructions:Start by standing upright with feet together. Place the palms together at the heart. Upon exhaling bring your right foot up to your ankle, knee or the inner aspect of your left thigh, as close to the groin as you comfortably can, toes pointing to the floor. Now exhale and stretch your arms up toward the sky keeping your shoulders down. Keep your focus, your gaze, on something about 3 feet in front of you that's not moving. Extend through the fingertips. Hold this pose for 10 to 20 breaths, then bring the arms down and the right leg to the floor.
Switch to the left leg.
